Hi guys. this is Adrian writing in from Shenzhen in his office coz right now im still a free man doing nothing much. anyway just would like to update you guys on this area where im in.
-Shenzhen feels like Singapore's Ang Mo Kio without Ah Bengs (yes you have HDB flats here)
-Everyhting is damn cheap. i pay like 3 Sing for Chinese meal in restaurant kind. but food is not as great as Singapore from so far where I've been. but maybe im not used to theri exotic cuisine.
-My chinese is getting better by the day damn fast and here different chinese people from different parts speak with different hanyu pinyin. you even find ang moh's speaking good chinese. damn embarrassing for me. but i reckon staying here 1 mth is enough to be a pro.
-super lots of fake shit. i repaired my Motorola interface for 6 sing when in Singapore it costs me 40 at the motorola shop.
-people here are very simple, everyone looks kinda grumpy but i guesss its their norm expression considering they dont really talk to poeple much. but i made friends with this couple on the bus coz a colleague of mine asked them to inform me when to get off considering i was taking it the first time. damn pai seh. but they were happy to show me around their university.
-weather is like Singapore. but nice people everywhere so far. although i must say the girls here need much more grooming ot be done. they are really super simple and super not vain and quite market like..
ok till next time ill write again. gonna do office work now. no pic yet sorry
but like ang mo kio if you want a visual

To the Almighty...
Ogay...so after dinner..we decided to have a couple of beers and a smoke or two...so we moved outside where they had a pretty chill-laxing corner for smokers...heh and they enclosed the area with mini fences (as you can see at the bottom-right of Jason) and called it a zoo...haha...there was even a sign that said..."Please Don't Feed the Smokers."

of drinking by the river
And so after the successful presentation, we had the sinful tubs of Ben & Jerry's thanks to Chaan Hoa (Thanks Chaan Hoa, you made us fat. Does someone have a picture of us devouring the ice-creams?) And after the ice-cream (as if our tummies weren't already filled with fat frm the Ben & Jerry's), we pakced dinner and dined alfresco by the river along Boat Quay. Chaan Hoa, once again, provided us with some drinks, and we all had a good time under the stars, though it's nothing compared to Nepal's.
On a side note, had I not edited this picture for brightness, we wouldn't have been able to see Naresh in this photo. Hehehz.
of the ACM high
Project Namaste I ended on an ultra-high note with the successful presentation at the Asian Civilizations Museum on Friday 27th April 07. Thanks to Si Wei for the professionally made documentary (on the culture of Nepal) that won many accolades from the audience present, ACM personnel, and our very own OSL; thanks to Manfred for taking up the gauntlet and being our affable presenter; thanks to Anil for your exacting translations; thanks to Cheryl for lending us your sweet voice; thanks to Sharolyn for meticulously keeping us in check for this ACM team. And of course, a BIG thanks to all Namaste peeps who helped the ACM team in various ways. We could not have done it without you guys.
